Vandalism at Brown Moor Football Field – A Disheartening Setback for Our Club
It is with heavy hearts that we share some disappointing news with our club members and the wider community.
Yesterday, we discovered that our Brown Moor Football Field facility has been subjected to vandalism at some point over the last few days. A brick was thrown through the double-glazed canteen window, causing significant damage. There is also damage to the outer skin of the building, vandalism to our canteen and emergency defibrillator signage, and widespread littering around the site.
This incident has deeply shocked and saddened everyone involved with the club. As a volunteer-run organisation built on community spirit and support, it's heartbreaking to see our facilities targeted in this way. The cost and time needed to repair the damage, combined with the temporary closure of our canteen, will have a real knock on effect on our young players, visiting teams, and their families.
We have reported the incident to the police, and it has been logged alongside an existing case following previous acts of senseless vandalism at our grounds.
We have reached a point where we feel it is necessary to bring this to the attention to the wider Stamford Bridge Community.
We ask for your support in helping us stop this behaviour. If you see anything suspicious or have any information that could help, please report it to clubsecretarysbfc@gmail.com.
Additionally, if anyone knows of a local, friendly glazing company that might be willing to help us with the repair of the damaged canteen window, we would be incredibly grateful to hear from you.
We’re truly sorry to be sharing such discouraging news, but we remain hopeful that we can protect and preserve the safe, welcoming environment we’ve all worked so hard to create at Brown Moor Football Field.
Thank you for your continued support.
