Just wanted to bring you all up to speed on an important development for the club.
As a committee we have been discussing the growing demands / opportunities that exist for the Football Club as we move to three sites in 2022.
To date we have always relied on and been very lucky to find volunteers to help us function 12 months a year.
It is clear however as we move to three sites and the associated requirements of the Football Foundation Grant that we needed to formalise a Groundsman role. Finding that person has not been easy, but I am delighted to say Rhys Staines has agreed to take on the role.
Rhys will be responsible for all our pitches across the three sites – the main tasks being:
Grass Cutting
Line Marking
Perimeter and Hedge Cutting
Weekly Pitch Repair, Divots etc.
General Maintenance, Goals etc.
I am sure you will all join me in wishing Rhys all the best in his new role.
